Do you have any tips or guiding principles for navigating the VERY WIDE variety of opinions on how deeply to emphasize academics ... spanning from one extreme (this is a great way to tutor my kid enough to skip a grade by the time s/he returns) to the other (this is a time for free form play/unlimited screen time, and the schools will meet the kid at her/his ability level when it's all over)?
