I must say that I'm very surprised about the customer service comments you keep citing.. I've been hosting for a few years and regularly stay at airbnb's. I've had to contact customer service a few times on the hosting side and the guest side and had nothing but quick replies and positive outcomes. Also before and after gaining the superhost badge. The dedicated support for superhosts might have clouded the most recent interaction, but I had to unfortunately cancel on a guest when a pipe decided to burst. Airbnb had her in a new reservation within an hour.
