How often are stunt people employed to do things that are a product of the actor or actress being afraid of something that's not particularly dangerous (say rappelling or top rope climbing) or unwilling to learn something reasonably simple (say riding a motorcycle)? Or do you guys pretty much stick to truly dangerous stuff?

Not that you can really tell much about people from a mugshot, but here are all the people rounded up in a kiddie porn bust in NJ earlier this year. The reason I remember it is because a young black woman is basically the opposite of the child porn consumer stereotype, but you can see that some of the guys have jewelry, style their hair and generally look like they leave the house and interact with others. They still could be creeps, but it's not all neckbeards who haven't left their desks in a decade.

This is pretty common for moderately well off people who have parents who live either within commuting distance of good opportunities or have enough money to rent out a place for their kid. There are other situations that can make it work out, but usually it's related to the parental financial situation. Unpaid internships are often illegal, and are pretty shitty for society, and I think it's pretty crappy that the Daily Show can't afford to make this a 10 bucks an hour job and give someone who isn't born into a fortunate family situation a fighting chance at participating. This is especially true given the political ideology of the show and the fact that Jon Stewart is getting paid 14 million a year.
