Would it be possible to create a spherical magnet where the surfaces didn't necessarily have an inverse on the outer surface diametrically opposite??
As in, the opposing pole to every maxel on the outer surface of the sphere would be pointed toward the center of the sphere, probably on a hollow inner surface, or all meeting together at the exact center of the sphere?
What kind of weirdness in the magnetic field would that introduce to the hollowed out innards of the sphere? Are there any applications you can think of for that kind of magnet?
