Creative Writing "Professer"? Seriously?

Don't worry about us tourists. Your city's nationally-publicized cruelty to the homeless and those trying to serve them is reason for me and many other potential tourists to stay away from Ft. Lauderdale as much as possible. No worries about tarnishing "that ideal image": already gone.

This doesn't seem like a spectacularly bad beat to me. On the flop Noble was 20% to win: going to win one in five of those. It's unfortunate, but it's also poker, pretty much. There's a lot of luck in that game.

Most decent CS conferences require submitting a paper to give a talk, referee the papers, and publish the accepted papers in a Proceedings with an ISBN. A problem for conference organizers is people submitting just to get the paper published and trying to get out of giving the talk. :-)
