How about if only x percent left have pop up asking to count as watched or leave marker in place. Then it is user driven. Or just see if a majority of viewers stops at around the same time it should go to a user review. Heck you could probably offer a small group a silly bonus like access to Netflix shows a day or two early in exchange for telling you where the credits are in 10 or so movies

So obviously you can't make a full-length version since there is already one in the works, but have you thought about creating some kind of Romancing the Stone type movie with Nathan and the same general feeling?

It seems like your team is well suited to that genre and Nathan can certainly sell that kind of character and Stephen Lang was great as well with the gritty old man character all of these types of movies have.

They had 3G internet, he could have torrented from the high sea! Maybe even from a server on another ship, thus meeting the classic definition of being a pirate!

Besides if you are torrenting stuff on land, shouldn't you be more of a brigand, or highwayman as opposed to a pirate?

Cue a full international task force with helicopters and and naval fleets descending on a lone tallship. Guys rappelling down on fast ropes, divers coming over the sides... a full assault a la Kim Dotcom's compound....

"Sir, we have good reason to believe you downloaded the newest #1 hit before you purchased it, and the population of the world will not stand for your reprehensible behavior anymore!"

Wait, so his wife told him to go back to the sea, but when he did and things got tough she left him? That's kind of sad.

Also, as someone who grew up completely landlocked and only discovered the sea through books, movies and television later in life, you cannot imagine how much i wish I could ditch all of the responsibilities and duties I have and just do it. Modern hum-drum life is not how humans were meant to live.
