I have a Gunto that Grandpa brought back. I should have someone knowledgable remove the hand guard so that I can get the tang inspected. I wonder if it is an heirloom or a mass produced one.
(I'm kinda leaning towards thinking that it is a mass produced Type 95 blade due to minor quality issues that appear to look as though it is a production defects over battle wear and tear.)
