Well here's some free advice: Stop. Companies like that don't want the world to change, because change means uncertainty and uncertainty means lower profit.

That company is going to claim that you developed part of it while working for them, therefore it's their intellectual property. Then they're going to either tie you up in court until your bank account says $0 or they're going to bury your work and continue sucking the dick of oil/coal.

So quit your job or stop working on personal projects while you're in their employ.

I desperately want to move overseas when I'm done with college, but I've never even left the country. As someone who will have a moderate amount of possessions, more debt than assets, and little to no job experience, what advice would you give me? How hard might I expect it to be - getting a job and finding a place to live overseas? Do you think your move to Finland would have been more difficult if you weren't self-employed?
