I'm a legal immigrant, and I totally disagree with you ;p. while my parents were lucky enough to be in a position to come to this country, to afford to wait, to know people who could make things easier for us (uncle worked for LanChile...a big airline for Chile at the time, and that one connection made everything else easier)... There were thousands of little things that just fell in our favor that made everything easier for us to come to the united states...you also were the recipient of help...I don't know your story, but I guarantee you that no one here emigrates without help.

For me, to not acknowledge that there are some who do not have it as easy as we did, is a disgrace to those that came before us...even the Americans who claim 10 generations on this soil sometimes forget that they came over here illegally...that it was through those that fought to get over here that made America great...not through those that were born into America.

Everyone blames anything they can as to why America is deteriorating and we aren't producing like we used to...for me the reason is simple...when we were great, America was the bastion of liberty we think we are...America was the open armed mother that gracefully accepted all immigrants...now we are xenophobic, we are loyalistic...we are everything te original founders of this country were yearning to escape from...we have essentially become the very essence that drove us from wherever we came from...

In short, I disagree with your "I did it legally, so should everyone else" premise because I believe that it's that very thought that is weakening America. I don't have an issue with those that fight tooth an nail to get here, for chances are they will fight tooth and nail once they are here and truly prosper. I more have an issue with the ones born here that think greatness is a right and not something that they need to fight every day for. America is a dream, but a dream will only ever become reality if those of us who believe in that dream fight for it...a dream will fade quickly if left only to memory.

When you buy a big piece of property, whatever that property is...you want to make sure that it reflects your core goals as a company. Creating stuff that might be cool and awesome takes a back seat to possibly damaging your image as a company.

From disneys pov...how do they know that the game dev were the a team that the darth maul game deserved? If they just continued the development, and it sucked...who would be blamed? Not the people who started it...it would be seen as Disney killing Star Wars like all the fanboys cried about when they heard of the acquisition.

From a gamer pov....it sucks. I want to play darth maul and kill a never ending line of jar jar binks...but working in large companies, I understand the reason why they killed it.

What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this subreddit is now dumber for having read it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Brazil's cops can't enter certain parts of certain cities. Military action is sometimes needed to enter the favelas if they dare enter them at all.

Are you comparing the governmental stability of Brazil to that of most other westernized countries? I wouldn't cite Brazil as a good comparison country just as I wouldn't cite Nicaragua, Guatemala, Honduras or any other country that has trouble reigning in their criminal element to the extent that military action is constantly needed to fight back on domestic soil with no clear winner at the end of the battle.

America has problems with crime, but no where near the problems other countries do. Why don't we make a more accurate comparison and choose a stable, westernized country where guns are illegal and compare it to America...a stable, westernized country with minimal gun control.
