(inyour august opinions)Is it even possible to whittle away at overhauling the DOD, DOJ, HS, NSA etc. etc. and hopefully work our way into a "just" and equitable future (where all are afforded certain inalienable rights blah blah blah under the rule of law) or will something far more radical have to take place for any meaningful standard of justice on a macro scale to exist?

Do you think that honorable service is possible if the ones making policy and deployment decisions are reliably dishonorable? I know that this is a bit of a loaded question, however, I have noticed among a lot of vets that political activism becomes very important once they enter civilian life. I ask this crazy question coming from a family that is totally 'duty bound'. I hope it makes sense and is not offensive. My thanks and happy Tuesday!

Thanks for the response. A follow up time permitting--Here (the burbs of the commonwealth outside of DC) there are lots of folks involved in the humdrum (technical details) of the intelligence complex. Do you have any words of courage/advice to these worker bees entrenched in the lower echelons who may be more terrified of the prospect of speaking up than of acquiescence to the current model?
