Is it silly that only now it occurs to me that the show isn't mostly adlib?

Well I've heard the black hills are sacred to certain native american tribes in the area. That's why we went and carved the likeness of our glorious forefathers in the hillside for them.

How do infants come to have gut microbes? I assume they come from the mother somehow but seeing as I've read that the digestive system is in many ways isolated from the rest of the body I can't imagine how they get transferred.
