I've volunteered for the Muscular Dystrophy Association Summer camp which is not just for kids with muscular dystrophy but kids with other similar conditions as well. I was a counselor for a kid with type 3 SMA a couple years ago and I recommend those with the time to consider volunteering. The camp is free for the kids and they look forward to it all year. It's a great experience for volunteers as well, especially those pursuing a career in healthcare. I hope to volunteer a 3rd time this year.

PGY-1 here who's been accepted into a DR program with ESIR. I'm concerned that software will soon enable computers to interpret imaging in the near future, reducing the need for DR physicians, perhaps relegating them to just double-checking the computer's work. Is my fear justified?

I'd love/hate to have you as an admission. How do doctors who don't know your history react when you tell them?
