The funniest part of the Theroux doc was when he's interviewing a porn director and there's a couple loudly banging away (filming is over or on a break; this is recreational). There was something hilarious about the director's powerless, resigned look and the way he called them "unprofessional."

Edit: Upon further reflection, it might've been the documentary series "Porno Valley."

Too bad you cant be more accurate. But I guess like all major countries, you only hold censuses every 10 years or so due to the cost.

Neil deGrasse Tyson and Joe Rogan Debate Moon Landings

wherein Rogan admits he was into moon hoax conspiracies and now understands he was nuts, albeit he keeps trying to say its plausible if you are only exposed to the conspiracists' "evidence"-- because he himself doesn't have much scientific literacy.

Edit: ok, I listened to the whole podcast (2.5hr). Rogan is not a denialist. he just (formerly) was confused when he was bombarded by a few of the denialist videos. Which can be understandable if you have no real scientific knowledge, which Rogan did not. He's saying "If you knew nothing, and you saw X, wouldn't this initially strain your conception of reality?" (X being some unexplained phenomenon brought up in the video.)

Moon-stuff aside, for someone who is "ignorant" and not an expert, he sure holds his own with Tyson, in that he's asking all the right questions and brings up a huge number of things for Tyson to expound upon. I mean, he and his crew probably did alot of research to find topics to fill 2.5hr to fill, but still. He's a good interviewer, a good raconteur, and I'm glad I was introduced to his podcast.

according to our promise to sources for maximum impact,

So, your Russian source gives you Podesta's emails and you do their bidding?

There's a big difference between releasing the emails for the purpose of airing the political processes of which Podesta was a participant and releasing the emails to tilt an American Presidential election one way or another.

Clearly, the latter reason is why the Russians leaked those emails. Is there no irony in Wikileaks taking the espionage work product of one of the most authoritarian regimes on Earth.
