So look into nurse practice act of your state. In GA there's a non-traditional route, but no hospital I know of allows it. You do rotations of 1000 hours minimum in every specialty. Med, ED, ICU, Peds, OB, LD. Then you can apply to take the NCLEX. It would be faster to go to school. I know, "classroom" is not your thing. It wasn't for me either, but use the classroom to help you study. You just study at their pace. Also online schools can help too. I took a lot of RN courses pruor to my program online. It is self study and research papers.
