AMA weren't always about advertising yourself. there was a time when it was just people answering questions about something they where or experienced. not everyone wanted to make a buck off of it. i did an AMA on the time i spent working as a video game tester, because it was something i wanted to do, not because i wanted money from strangers.

its cynical in its assumption of the intent of an AMA. not everyone is a self promoting product. maybe you'll get a free game for white knighting though! that bit at the end should really do the trick.
