How did your Asian relatives, and the rest of the "community" feel when you said you wanted to be an actor (initially, like in high school or whatever)?

The truth is, salaries in silicon Valley especially for tech are really inflated compared to other industries in the country. It seems like nobody would want to leave their "cushy" role to advocate for an issue these days, so I really admire taking that step.

How difficult was it to leave a secure financial role for one of uncertainty, especially after working as a software engineer?
