It's bullshit. They can't tell how recent you have smoked or how much, all they go off of is if it's in the system.

My buddy and I got rolled for a tail light out and we both look like a bunch of stoners, beanies, drug rug the whole 9. Cop said she "smelled" weed. We never smoke weed in the car, and didn't smoke any ourselves that day so there was no way we smelled like it. The cop asked my buddy (he was driving) if he had smoked recently, my buddy stated he hasn't smoked in two days. She arrested him, searched the car, found nothing and still proceeded to take my buddy to get bloodwork done. Obviously he ticked positive for weed and he's currently fighting this in court.

I know he was sober as a stone and so did the cop, but she was a cunt and knew she could abuse this.

I am gonna be honest, I've driven drunk and I've driven stoned. I will never drive drunk again, but I know I am 100% capable of being safe while stoned. It's amazing someone can be buzzed but still legal, but I can't smoke a joint and take a drive.

Which is why we should have a zero tolerance for alcohol while driving.

For the same reason they don't follow black people around waiting for them to rob a store or shoot someone.
