I should point out that under IBR rules you can discharge those loans.
The trouble is that it takes 25 years (10 if you're working in government positions, k-12 teachers included) and is counted as income when it's discharged (isn't if you're working in the aforementioned government position).

I drive a '96 Passat TDI, the problem you're describing hits at like 200k miles, not 75. That's some fucked up shit right there.

What blew on the motor? Sounds like someone didn't do a lick of upkeep on that thing before they gave it back. 7500 miles a year isn't a heck of a lot, comparatively.

You have the advantage of having no rail or port cut, that's for certain. In some businesses, that makes all the difference.
