Ugh. A friend (not native american) took the job as chief of tribal police for a nearby reservation, after being our own town's chief of police for years. He did a great job and was loved by his staff and the community... Until he put the nephew of a tribal leader in jail on serious drug charges. Strangely enough, a few weeks later he was let go because 'things just weren't working out'.

What are the best repeat characters that come in to your shop? I spent a decent amount of time in a pawn shop outside of Portland doing research for a sociology paper, and there was this pimp that kept bringing in his various young working girls to buy them jewelry - almost a different one every day. Entertaining but cringeworthy since the girls were maybe 15-18.
