This may have been covered but-

how did you adapt psychologically to such a radical change in your life?

by change I mean not only your physical injuries/loss of sight but the fact that your own father did this to you ?

(I hope this is not too personal, and of course I understand that one either adapts or gets left behind, but this just seems like a major mindfuck which would be too much for me to handle)
