Don't be, you weren't.

I'm assuming he meant, they don't have the kind of body scanner that show a detailed image but rather the kind the has a schematic drawing of a genderless human being pointing out areas in which metal or stuff has been detected.

like so: http://static.guim.co.uk/sys-images/Guardian/Pix/pictures/2009/12/30/1262194975015/Body-scanner-Netherlands-001.jpg

I'd imagine a modern, educational program at school that discusses the financial and personal challenges that come with having a family could do a lot about the shortsightedness of many young parents beforehand. Instead of only checking for responsibility with all scrutiny when it's time to adopt or conceive a child, it would enforce it from an early age.

It could at least reduce the waiting times for adoption.

Weed helps too...!

Not sure how you stand on the entire issue, and it certainly is still somewhat controversial, but a lot of pain post spinal surgery is neuropathic. And weed is well known to help a ton with this. Additionally, I've got severe chronic pain myself after I broke 8 vertebrae at a climbing accident, and was prescribed a ton of different pain killers over the years. I only "discovered" weed for myself some two years ago, and used it on an off since then (it is still very much illegal where I live). The first time I had a puff at a friend's joint, I cried tears of joy, for it was the first time in 5 years that I felt no pain. Fuck, it's the best thing in the world, if you use it responsibly. Worth a thought anyways.

All the best!

I'm glad to hear that. I just read in a previous reply of yours that your pain is now settled at around 0-1, which is really fucking great! I thought you would have been higher up on the scale.

Anyways, I thought I'll plug my experience in this thread. I'm very glad to hear about your awesome recovery story. Keep it up!
