I don't know too much about how tinder works but why the hell would anyone report you for your profile ? Suggestive Language? Seems like that's what tinder is for in the first place.

This very thing happened to me a few weeks ago. It wasn't a date but it was a business meeting over drinks. I hate it when people say "never mind" after a deaf person asks a hearing person to repeat something. It is kind of a huge fuck you to the deaf person, and it does get in your head if you let it.

I agree you just have to project confidence and don't let it screw you up. Ask her to rephrase it which usually helps. If she still insists on "forgetting it" then really you have nothing to lose by putting the burden of communicating better on her. Don't feel self conscious - tell her point blank if she wants to have a conversation it'll have to be at a higher volume. And always say it with a smile.

Took me a long time to get over my issues with shyness and self consciousness with my hearing impairment - eventually I just realized short people need footstools to reach higher shelves. I need a hearing aid to hear. Others need glasses. Everyone has something, so if anyone has a problem with another person's shortcomings or differences it's their hang up not yours.

Your answer prompts a follow-up question from me.

Could the Terminator's living tissue become infected, yet the endoskeletal machine remaining unaffected?

I recently replaced the battery on my iPhone 6 in a desperate effort to avoid buying a new iPhone. This was before the $29 announcement unfortunately or I would have gone for that. I did accidentally damage the connection to control the lower volume button but I was so happy with the improvement to battery and performance that I didn’t really care (I figure I can control the volume through the dashboard anyway).

Two questions/comments. As a deaf user it is so SO important to include captions on your instructional videos. You really boost your audience when you do that not just with the hearing impaired audience but with ESL or nonnative English speakers and others who learn better when they read what’s being said.

Second- do you feel enough is being said in DIY repair videos in general by you tubers to warn of the pitfalls and dangers of DIY iPhone repair?

I've found that the majority of the time when I struggle with car seat installation it is because the straps are facing the wrong way or they're folded which will jam the latches and gears when you pull in them. Then it is a nightmare detaching them or adjusting them. I've spent an embarrassing amount of time struggling over these seats so I know exactly what you guys are talking about. I wish for an easier latching system all the time.
