I thought Antonio Carlos Jobim and Tom Jobim were brothers for the longest time. I didn't figure it out until I saw a video him singing with Elis Regina.

Hi! My questions is off-topic. I study the mbira music of the shona and ndebele people who are indigenous to Zimbabwe. Everyone I discuss it with is obviously familiar with it and it's a big part of their life so the perspectives and opinions I usually encounter are very biased. I'm working off of the assumption that you're not in music academia. Is mbira music actually popular in Zimbabwe, or at least well known?

Interesting. I've always separated advertising into aggressive and passive advertising. I describe aggressive advertising as anything that interrupts my access to content: pop-up ads, Youtube ads before videos, auto-play ads with sound, etc. I really hate and directly oppose aggressive advertising. I absolutely use adblock on websites that utilize/allow aggressive advertising.

Passive advertising is anything observable but unobtrusive: billboards, magazine/newspaper ads, side-banners on websites, etc. I love passive advertising and am happy to support websites that restrict advertising to that.

Native advertising seems pretty cool, because it becomes content, and seems like passive advertising. I guess I like it.
