speaking of NY, I'm glad that none of the four main characters were overacted as extreme NYers with thick accents and aggressive personalities, as nobody likes exaggerated personalities. having said that, I always felt like Turtle was really the only one who truly embodied the auroa of a kid from Queens, and as a Queens kid myself, Turtle was always my favorite character. So kudos.

Preemo! I'm an 80's baby, born/raised in NY (Queens!) and so I'm a huge fan of that grimey, gritty, heavy bass beats that were prevalent back in the 90's. My question is, do you think that kind of sound will ever make a come back? Or do you think that particular sound had its time and it's no longer as relevant in today's hip hop culture?

I work in the publishing industry and I've visited a recording session for one of our audio books and it was a really cool experience! One of the producers told us that a certain voice actor would record his lines while wearing nothing but his underwear, so as to avoid any extra sounds being picked up by the mics from his clothes. Do you have any interesting habits/approaches to recording?

While most authors don't traditionally make any money off their books, they certainly do get paid up front via advances. Yes, they only make a small percentage off royalties, but they still have the luxury of making money off the bat. And even though the author keeps most of their rights and has a much higher percentage of their royalties, how are they supposed to maximize the possibility of selling their books if you don't offer the services a traditional publisher can, ex. sales, marketing, publicity, subsidiary rights, etc. ?

My brother-in-law is bipolar. Two years ago he stopped taking his meds because he believed he was doing fine without them. And as a result, his life - as well as my sister's life - is in complete disarray. He lost his job, he and my sister are in the process of separating, and my unemployed sister is left to take care of her child on her own.

I know there's probably nothing we can do, but is there any hope that he will come around on his own to realize that he isn't well, and that he needs to take his medicine? We've been informed that as an adult, there's not much anyone can do to force him to take his medicine if he doesn't want to. Is there any hope that he will come around? Or will there have to be some kind of severe sitaution where he's hospitalized in order to take his medicine?
