I am also a Prime customer, but I rarely order things from Amazon (maybe once/twice a month?) However, I keep the service for the other things. Streaming music, video content and a few other things are worth the $10 a month, and when I get the free shipping on the few things I buy, that helps, too.

What I'm saying is that if the warehouse conditions worry you, and you are financially stable enough to justify Prime, then you are probably financially stable enough to "vote with your dollar" and buy stuff elsewhere.

I was visiting a friend who is like that, so I played a prank by taking one of his numerous Amazon boxes and filling it with a bunch of random stuff and putting it on his porch. He tore it open for his next fix and was utterly confused to see items he sort of recognized as being his own. Maybe it was my half-hearted attempt at an intervention?

Different strokes. I know people who order so often that they don't even know whats on their doorstep when they get home. It's all a spectrum.

Does it bother you that Zamboni is not a valid word in Scrabble? Fedex, Kleenex and other brand names are, but Zamboni hasn't made the cut yet.

Newegg pops up on lots of lists around here for "companies that used to rock and now don't." It's a shame. I have never been a regular Newegg user, but for computers I've built in the past (most recently 3 years ago), I've never had any issues with Newegg. Their prices have definitely gone up, but the quality has been fine for me, thankfully.
