Ssshh don't tell the Americans they'll get confused.

Maybe it's just a some-people thing; but when you're under the pump and someone is there sprouting "helpful" comments and telling you it'll all be over soon etc.. it comes off more annoying than helpful as you already know it'll be over and it's easier to just hang in there and get it done without having to listen to the ear garbage.

Not trying to be a jerk, just trying to explain how people can get annoyed at this.
