How do you define when the translation is "final"?

Are the sentences for the lessons computer generated? With all those mistakes and awkwardness wouldn't it be better to get them written by people, maybe even crowdsourced?

Very true! I don't find Duolingo's lessons the most effective methodically, but they are indeed the most addictive. What else could make me want to learn French all of a sudden and not miss a single day until I finished the tree? :D

Awesome design and really cool gamelike features.

I'm a cuber too, and I also thought it would get boring once I'm relatively good at it. Not at all, it gets more and more interesting even though your times improve slower and slower. I mean, when you first start, you drop your times really quickly. First you just learn how to solve, then you do it in 3 minutes, in 2 minutes, under 1 minute - all this happens less than in a month. Later you can spend months to shave a second off your average, but you also learn new things to make your solves more efficient and fluid, and it is so much fun.

How long before we have more efficient Discussions engine? I'm annoyed to see the same questions and suggestions appear again and again, but at the same time I understand their posters because it is easier to ask right away than to try and find the old threads.

I would gladly contribute to an FAQ if there was some place for it.
