First off, thanks for doing this AMA!

Did you ever hear or learn to speak "Pennsylvania Dutch" or "Mennonite German"?

Also a speaker of German, although as an American, Texas German and Pennsylvania Dutch have been absolutely fascinating to study. PD is actually distinct enough from Hochdeutsch or schweizerdeutsch to be considered it's own language, and it's the fastest growing language in the world right now (heard this by an expert in 2017)!

Not OP, but you'd be surprised and lack of fluency among mennonites! I know a few people that work as translators for mennonites in their state, typically for legal purposes. Some can speak English, but if you don't use it often because you stay within your community, it only gets worse. Plus they don't have English media coming from a tv, radio or even many papers or books, like you would expect of a non-native English speaker to experience if they immigrated to the US.

Oh yes. I hope to find a review of accuracy by a native speaker some day!

First, I really appreciate you doing this Mrs. Atwood; I'm a huge fan. :)

For the last book in the Maddaddam trilogy (unsure of title...), you tweeted that there would be a drawing for people with 0$ to possibly be in the book. have i missed this? I was pretty excited about this and worried I might have missed it. :c

ALSO did you intend on making sequels (set in the same approximate times I know, but you get the idea) to Oryx and Crake or was it a later inspiration to make Year of the Flood and the third book?

Thank you!
