How do AI researchers feel they can address the black box problem of human consciousness? Psychologists and neurologists have a very poor understanding of how the brain determines behavior. Some feel that the human brain is too limited to fully understand itself.

What can an AI researcher do to bridge the gap in knowledge? If the goal is to create an AI with human-like behavior how can that be a realistic goal without a requisite understanding of human behavior?

Secondly, how should AI researchers reconcile the rival schools of psychology---behaviorism vs cognitivism. They can't both be right. Do AI researchers pick a side or throw out psychology completely and start from scratch?
