Do you think it's possible that these agencies might be using their surveillance powers to control/manipulate people in positions of power (including the President)?

Yes:

"They [NSA] went after State Department officials. They went after people in the executive service that were part of the White House–their own people… Here’s the big one… [T]his was in summer of 2004, one of the papers that I held in my hand was to wiretap a bunch of numbers associated with a 40-something-year-old wannabe senator for Illinois.

You wouldn't happen to know where that guy lives right now would you? It’s a big white house in Washington, D.C. That’s who they went after, and that’s the president of the United States now.”

Dr. Gupta,

Thank you for doubling down on medical marijuana, which then begs the question:

What is it going to take for the federal government to finally reduce the Schedule I status of marijuana so that families don't have to pack up and move to medical states to get the medicine their children so desperately need?

Neal,

Thanks for doing this AMA! Here's my few questions, feel free to answer any or all of them.

  • Where is your favorite place to perform or watch stand up?

  • If you could work with any comedian alive or dead who would it be and why?

  • A recent BBC article claims comedians have 'high levels of psychotic traits', would you agree with this?

  • I'm sure you might have some mixed emotions surrounding this, but what's your most fond memory from your time working with Dave on Chappelle's Show?

  • If you could give one piece of advice to aspiring comedians, what would it be?

This is one of the revelations that gave me chills. They have dirt on everyone no matter how 'powerful'. And with the special kinds of dirt they have access to it isn't hard to imagine they could blackmail virtually anyone into doing anything, or leak some of the dirt they have and ruin someone's career or life.

PS: Thanks for doing this AMA and for continually fighting for privacy!
