Often, people from the first world countries blatantly turn away from such knowledge because it's too shocking and so they either don't believe it or they chose to tell themselves it must not be true. Reality tv garbage sells more than depressing news also. So it's not as widely known.

The whole world needs to know the things that happen in North Korea. It's horrible in there. The media should do its job instead of telling us what each celebrity wore today.

Depends where. In some states private sales have background check also, they get done at an FFL. The seller and buyer just go there to get it done.
