In my mind each console generation (That I have been around for) has brought about a kind of paradigm shift or can sort of be summed up by a statement. The 5^th Generation gave us 3D gaming (Super Mario 64), the 6^th brought visually stunning and emersive stories (Shadow Of The Colossus) and the current has connected us all together (Xbox Live, PSN) and expanded the audience for gaming (Wii, Kinect).

Question: What do you envision will be the defining feature of the 8^th generation ?
