We sell all our produce from this farm to the US and CDMX. It produces high(est) quality shrimp that can stay fresh in the refrigerator for a good 2 weeks, so we can sell fresh-never-frozen shrimp as an export product -- which never existed as a consept before due to the relativly short shelf-life of fresh shrimp.

Due to the high quality of the shrimp from our unique production process it is considered a premium product up north and yields a price that makes it nonsensical to sell it locally. as we wouldn't be able to charge anywhere near as much.

At least you can brag about living close to the highest quality shrimp production in the world ;)

In my town on the coast highway in Mexico we get people from Honduras, El Salvadorr, Belize and all the other Central American countries begging their way yo get to "al otre lado". Mostly youngish guys who leave their family to try get work so they can send money home. They break my heart. Never seen someone from South America tho

You are a stones throw from one of our shrimp farms

They are here, but keep a low profile. It seems to me like they have deals with the police where the cartels can deal in cocaine and weed, but anything stronger than that is banned (by the cartels). I think it's a way to keep the peace, and the higher up you get in the ranks of the police and cartel the people kinda start blending together anyways.
