I was JUST going to comment this as well. I remember going to drive and look at Christmas lights in Grosse Pointe years ago and it going from pitch black, boarded up homes and people on corners to million dollar homes dripping in lights and holly. It is insane how the light switch instantly turns off once you hit a certain spot on the road. Eery.

I flew Turkish about two years ago now and they were amazing - I recommend them to anyone going overseas where they offer the destination. What is your opinion on them (if you've used them)?

Dang, that is crazy that it is that much more and you're closer to Louisiana than Chicago is!? When a friend and I were flying down to Melbourne, FL, I remember that non stop flights weren't available so it recommended we land in CHS and book another flight from there. The price of the flight from CHS into MLB was so much more than any other thing was goin to cost us for this trip. Are flights out of CHS just normally higher?

Oh man, the first time I went to New Orleans, I used Spirit out of the cheapness and paid $50 round trip out of ORD for a couple of days. Delta is a trillion times better than Spirit, but just saying, the possibility to travel for way cheaper may be out there.. on a shittier airline lol

My colleague flew out of ORD to Calgary this past fall and paid just under $300 a ticket he said. I'm not sure what the average pricing is for it, but I know that's what he paid for his. (IF you can get to Chicago to fly out.)
