How would you go about opening a discussion with people who still hold these beliefs?

I have always had a hunch that at least some species possess greater intellectual capabilities in some areas than we generally give them credit for. What are your thoughts on our current understanding of animal intelligence? Do you expect there to be changes in the way we perceive animal intellect in the future?

Have you come up with a solution that allows men not to experience crippling shame if they feel like sitting down while peeing?
