add the fact that the refineries already existing in the gulf. American refineries under US enviromental laws and control... paying taxes and wages in America. Makes sense to us what we have and keep the oil off the oceans and out of the Pacific coastal areas.

Why insult the intelligence of the land owners. The ones I spoke with who own land that the Keystone 1 pipeline crosses knew where the oil came from. Keystone had many town hall meetings where they explained the entire process. The keystone 1 pipeline also crosses the Ogallala Aquifer.

I know about spills. Instead of the pipelines they are shipping the Bakkan oil out of North Dakota on trains. We've had many spills and car accidents due to all the increased train traffic. These rails are old and now they are clogged with oil tank cars. They are going by small towns across Nebraska too. it's not logical.

The first Keystone pipeline was approved, quickly built and has been in operation for years now... why do you wish to prevent the second pipeline... the Keystone XL?
