What are some short-term and long-term challenges that arises after a disaster of this magnitude?

Hi Thomas, We are hearing lots of reports that my government (Nepali government) is saying they no longer want more rescue teams to come to Nepal and they can handle the situation. What is your opinion on that and what outcome can we expect because of this decision?

Hi Bill, I just found out about the light sail, thanks to your AMA, so is this something that can be useful if we have to evacuate the earth? If it is then how far are we from actually being able to establish light sail community? Also thanks for being partly responsible for getting my niece interested in science and every time I go visit her, instead of toys/dolls she wants a new science project.
