  1. For me and I'm sure for others in the team it's rather bittersweet. Ultimately to not release at that time would have meant that we'd never release at all (Due to bankruptcy). Because we released we're now actually able to deliver War for the Overworld as it is today, something that thousands of people enjoy.

I don't think anyone would say we'd take that state over the state it is now, but given the options available it was the best choice we had. I wrote a full post on this shortly after release to explain everything.

As much as I love the guys who used to work at EA Mythic... I would say that Dungeon Keeper mobile was a blot on an otherwise fantastic franchise. Something that all too many publishers have been doing recently.

Syndicate and Overlord also come to mind.

As for the Dungeon Keeper MMO, I always had a morbid curiosity with it, the soundtrack sounded awesome and I liked the look of the Dungeon Heart. Other than that I never had the opportunity to experience it but I imagine it can't have been too good.

Congratulations to the Team on successful funding. It seems that things are well on the way towards flex goals, so my question is about that.

In your recent announcement Update #25 you clarified the cost of different flex goals. I'm sure a great many people feel that to get that Dungeon Keeper feel, Richard Ridings is a target to aim for and would be dissapointed to see the game be made without him especially after his stellar performances during the campaign but some are worried about his costs. So with that in mind:

  1. Is Richard Ridings still considered a stretch goal or are you now going to put it to the vote. Update #25 did not clarify this.
  2. Could you possibly break down the Richard Ridings costs so people feel that he's not getting £75k.

Richard Ridings handshake is as firm as a steel girder.

He is even more awesome than he seems, so awesome that his voice will melt you if you're exposed outside of protective gear.

He became strong by voicing the Mountain in Game of Thrones and eating Peppered pigs.

Certainly something we'd like to do but our scripting engine is quite complex and unwieldy.

We have some ideas for some simplified aspects to it that might come with future content down the road. But we've yet to really measure their feasibility.

Needless to say it'd be exciting to do because our community has churned out over 1,100 maps since the editor launched, some of which are very very cool. Imagine what could be done with a bit more power!
