What did we do correctly to prepare for the Mount St. Helen's eruption in 1980 and what do you think we could have done differently to prepare? Along with this, how could we prepare for future eruptions of other Cascade Range volcanoes?

For Wes - About the Cascadia Subduction Zone and the possible "Big One" how prepared do you think we are? I did some research for an article last year about it and found the PNW and surrounding areas to be woefully unprepared. How do you think we can and should prepare for an earthquake of such magnitude?
