As a server, I can tell you that we are REQUIRED by management to be like this. To be honest, I don't care about how your day has been most of the time, but management watches us to ensure we are ticking off each item on their list during our approach.

Hey there, I just graduated college so I wanted to give my 0.02$ worth from my own life experiences. In high school I was a popular and smart kid but I have to say that you did not miss out much. I went to prom, to the dances etc and had the "typical" high school experiences, but that's because it was expected of me by my peers and so I went along with it. Looking back, I wish I would have done and not done what I wanted to do and not be affected by the peer pressure associated with high school. High school isn't as cool and exciting as movies and other people make it out to be, so in this case you are better off actually. I guess I can mention that I myself am Christian and have a degree in Biology (where we are extensively based on evolutionary perspectives) so I can see where you are coming from. However, I find it important that you know let your anger cloud your judgement on decisions you make. Live your life as you like it, excel in your studies and get into a field you love.
