Maybe a shift in your dad's view would be another push towards your mom changing her beliefs. The more people around you who change their minds the more likely you are to do it. That might be the only solution to changing the minds of the people who are so deeply brainwashed by social media.

It is so nice to see someone on Reddit giving the best advice about mental health anyone can give on Reddit. Not inspirational quotes, not anecdotes, not anything you roll your eyes at and think "thanks, I'm cured", just encouragement to see a professional.

I think my limit is that I would choose not to see some things a second time rather than never at all. Having seen the crocodile stuff before, that's one of them.
