$20K is a decent amount of money, but definitely not even close to what you should’ve received after being in jail for over 2 years in total. I’m sorry you had to deal with issues in your early adulthood but I’m glad you’ve turned the life around and you seem to be doing amazingly well. Keep up the amazing work and I’m sorry you had to deal with all that! :(

I meant $20K is a decent amount of money for a young adult assuming no bills or financial responsibilities. I didn't mean it being decent amount of settlement money which is why I mentioned it not being even close to what he should have received.

I'm 20 and $20K would go a long way for me, but obviously for what he had to go through he deserved at least a 6-figure settlement. Just again to clarify that $20K isn't a decent amount of money for what he had to go through. My apologies for making it seem like so. Definitely not my intentions!
