iTerm2 is a drop-in replacement that you can progressively learn over time without it getting in the way. You will find 2-3 awesome things in the first hour

That is how I do most of my setup improvements since I also rarely dedicate time to it

here is a direct download link

You aren't giving out personal information directly, but you are giving out information that leads to your personal information: where you exchange bitcoin (CVS), when you went on vacation, which town you mail from (and that it must be USPS), how much BTC you bought and at what price (so a date), how much total BTC you transacted, that you sell to legit users (so you must have a way of reaching them and accepting money from them - a legitimate business account, a phone number, likely an ad in forums or online or in the yellow pages, etc. etc.).

and this isn't just about identifying you it is also about verifying it is you, it is how leads are crossed-checked.

the point of OPSEC and using tor i2p and VPN's is to hide your IP address, which is only a unique identifier - but you undo all of that effort if you are exposing all of the others.

Note I don't want you to get caught, i'm just saying that I don't want to read another federal incitement where the testimony says something like "on the 13th of November 2013 the accused conducted an interview on an internet forum known as reddit.." and I have my face in my hands, again.

Note that doing something like an AMA would also likely incite an investigation into you. It was a Gawker interview that triggered the DPR investigation which took him down. For some reason cops don't like it when criminals brag.

It isn't the one data point, it is multiple data points that go towards providing the 33bits required to id someone. You really aren't as anonymous as you believe you are, and each bit of information you provide doesn't eliminate one person, it eliminates half of all people - and very quickly (like compound interest) you don't need many bits to get to a single person. see reports such as this one (pdf).

My suggestion: say nothing, do nothing, don't infer anything, etc.
