Edit: We have never watched the show so references are over our heads.

Darn.

Have you seen Gravity? On a related note, I read somewhere that 2001: A Space Odyssey apparently most accurately depicted space, except for one part where the liquid in a straw doesn't move the way it should. Being a retired astronaut, when you watch films in space, do you find yourself paying attention to any particular details that you have expertise in?

Hi Tim! I just wanted to say thank you so much for making one of my favorite games of all time, Grim Fandango! The amount of memories I have with that game are staggering. I loved the visual aesthetic, the atmosphere, the characters... it was such a classy game. And of course, thank you for the endlessly fun Psychonauts and I wish you good luck on Psychonauts 2! And congrats on the funding (I am a backer, so I hope it turns out good!).

My question for you is how was it like working on the first 2 Monkey Island games? Did you know it was going to be so massively influential in adventure game history, and how did it influence your later game and puzzle design?

I'm a civil engineer, so I don't really do city planning, but I used to do a lot of land development in Westchester County, NY, and I am always amazed at how much zoning can impact the "feel" of a town. If a town is poorly planned, you'll notice. Even things as simple as setbacks, maximum coverage, impervious ratios... they make a huge difference! I once was driving between the town line of Scarsdale and White Plains, and the cities are obviously planned differently, so you can immediately tell the difference. It just has a different vibe. One's more rustic, the other's a bit more industrial just based on zoning regulations. It's pretty cool.
