Replying here - hoping you get notification and get to see this.

I was in a similar accident over 10 years ago - a woman ran across the street, it was slightly drizzling - and ran in front of the car I was driving. I was heading towards a green light, and a pedestrian waiting at the crosswalk saw the lady run into the road. She stayed behind to tell officers that she saw the woman run into the street and wondered what she was doing.

It was similar in that people got out of the car to see what was happening. The other passenger in the car ran across the stree to find a payphone to call 911. Meanwhile, I'm yelling at people to call the police. They didn't seem to remember or think it was urgent (even though this lady was hit and flipped over my car).

I'm telling you this because I have never sought out professional help. I have learned to talk about it openly. Someone corrected me early on and said not to say "I killed someone" but rather that "Someone ran in front of my car and was killed." The passive tone, although usually not grammatically preferred - does make a difference. I did not kill someone. Someone was killed.

I'm totally fine. Of course I remember. Of course I wish it didn't happen. Sometimes, I do freak out when I see people walking like idiots into the street - whether out of carelessness or drunkenness - but that's normal.

This is your first step. If you can learn to start talking about it, when appropriate - you may not need professional help.

What is being done about decreasing the rate of tuition? Tuition for higher education is obscene in the US. Decreasing the rate of interest for loans is great, but decreasing the amount of the principal would be even better!
