So you're saying instead of treating them like hateful people, to treat them like scared people.

It seems like they're not apt to listen to anyone regardless of whether it's presented with love or hate (or neutrally.) If they're here to preach, that's a one-sided conversation. I imagine not many people are going to tolerate just being talked at.

This seems like circular logic. WBC preaches to stop sinning, because that's what God wants. They also believe God hates most people (why? Because of the sinning) and therefore causes the sinning? Sounds like entrapment on God's part. And if God is making people sin (even though he hates sin) then isn't attempting to stop the sin, going against what God wants? My head hurts now.
