I never claimed that what you said was false, I was just questioning your definition of kidnapping and your perception of threat.

Having been on both sides of similar situations, I can see how it might feel odd to be in a stranger's car, but as far as I understood no violence happened and he took you back to the club. You were also both on drugs, and it is safe to assume that you had no idea if you were actually driven out of town or in one of the many parks in the city. He also offered coffee, which is usually just a way to be kind.

Drug and alcohol can easily make you paranoid and let you misperceive danger, and at the same time you had no knowledge of the language nor the culture.

I never doubted of this story being true, what I am skeptical about is you being actually kidnapped or in real danger.

I never claimed that her experience was false. What I was questioning was her definition of "kidnapping" and her perception of danger: they were both on drugs, she did not mention him forcing her into the car and no violence happened.

Despite being odd, I don't see how this can be described as a kidnapping with life threat. I feel her for what she might have perceived as a threatening experience, but I would not describe this whole thing as a felony.

@BBA935, I didn't offend anyone, I just felt this description was very much similar to what my experience of European clubs was. I respect your and her opinion, but I simply do not share it.

You said you were "kidnapped" in a club in Milan, risking to be "murdered" by a random Italian.

I do not do drugs, but I have been partying all over major european cities (London, Paris, Milan, Barcelona etc.) and happens pretty often to find drunk/high girls that jump on my car without me even asking. I once even got in the opposite situation, being driven around by a random girl while I was drunk.

The guy offered you coffee then, didn't menaced you with a knife.

Don't you feel you are exaggerating?

P.S. the homicide rate in Milan is 10 times lower than in the U.S., just saying.
