I lived in Lebanon for 10 years, and what this man said is on par with my experience. In a country that is poor, whose health care and education system are strained, where electricity and water are rationed, asking for a naturalization is a big fucking deal. A lot of Lebanese citizens live in extreme poverty.

Criticizing from a comfortable life is a fucking joke. Would you give away what little you have that doesn't even suffice? Can anyone give away the bare minimum that he or his family needs for a less than decent life?

Lebanon has a population of about 4.5 million, 400,000 can radically alter the representation rights of every minority in Lebanon. That country is made up of minorities. Certain officials have to be of certain religions. No fucking way would I agree to that.

As said by TheElie69, the Palestinians(not all I'm aware) aren't exactly saints, they're much like mercenary groups contracted to commit a terrorist act every now and then. Nahr El-bared conflict took the lives of 168 Lebanese soldiers. Soldiers who are abysmally paid.

Naturalization isn't a solution and will not happen. Lebanon has too many problems and is too small. Criticize richer Arab countries.
