Hi Joe - I love so many of your movies. I have a question though about the insanely depressing side-plot you had Phoebe Cates introduce in Gremlins about her dead dad in the chimney. For a kids movie, that seemed unnecessarily dark. Was that scene ever up for discussion in the editing bay?
