I have many friends who, although non-believers, claim that they have come to talk with Jesus and be sure of the transcendent, existence of "a being" because of the use of psychedelics (drugs). Hi Bishop Barron. Thank you SO MUCH for all you do! Recently, several friends have mentioned to me that they have found a sense of God and the transcendent through new age means like hallucinogenic herbs and mushrooms. They come back to it over and over again since they claim that it helps them every time to get a better sense of peace, self awareness and their environment (that they did not find in their previous church experiences). What would you say to those people? (particularly, since religion is a long term process, not an "instant gratification" type of thing)
